JACKS must be in INITIAL MELD.
You can have other cards as well, but JACKS must be in with the INITIAL MELD.
If you Canasta other cards JACKS must hit the table first.
You can meld anytime but you CANNOT GO OUT.
REMEMBER: DON'T EVER TOUCH THE PILE.
